Displays Can Be Cute Too!
Sent in by a reader of ours in Arkansas(!), Joseph saw this in Japan... Who wouldn't want to buy every piece of candy offa this cutie display? If we had cuties like this in my supermarket, I'd weight a heck of a lot more from buying candy to support the cuteness! xxxo

Rock Flowers Are Rock n Roll Cute!
Rock Flowers Dolls are 6 ½” vinyl dolls that were produced by Mattel in the first half of the 70s to compete with the popular 7" Dawn dolls. Whereas Dawn and her friends were all top fashion models (in high fashion outfits), The Rock Flowers were “rockers” who exuded a more casual, funky quality. And came with records that they would twirl on. Hello there cutie dolls! xxxo

Emme = Cute
At Hello There Cutie, we live cute... really! This is Amelie, a rescue bunny that is one of our pets and one of the cutest bunnies to hop about. Emme likes yogurt drop treats, cuddling in your lap during a movie and lotsa snuggles. We love her and always say "Hello There Cutie" when we see her!!! xxxo

Hmmm... we haven't had any of Hello Kitty's friends in awhile. Time to amend that! Dokidoki Yummychums are Japan only characters. In this picture are Dokidoki Burger, Dokidoki Fries (yes, they are a couple!) and one of the 4 Milkshake brothers. I have no idea who the flying Tater Tots are tho!!! Hello there cutie Dokidoki's! xxxo

Milk-y Cute
Here at Hello There Cutie central, we have a fondness for cute packaging... especially from Asia! This is a can of milk drink from Taiwan (one of the cutest countries I've been to) with a sassy boy printed onto it. I adore his rosy cheeks and heart shaped tongue! Hello there cutie boy. xxxo

Ramen = Cute!
Kawaii Not is a webcomic that features cute versions of everyday objects doing and saying silly (and often sassy!) things. Kawaii is the Japanese term for cute so of course we had to feature this on Hello There Cutie! xxxo

Big Boy Cutie
When a kid, it was a treat to go to Bob's Big Boy on Van Nuys Blvd. I would say "hello" to the giant Bob statue in front, and was excited when a new comic book with his adventures came out. My Nanny and Poppy took me there the day I ate a whole burger, and I remember laying in the backseat of their Dodge Dart groaning. Hello cutie Bob! xxxo

My Little Cutie
My Little Pony is so sweet it's kinda like a saccharine overdose. Introduced in 1981, these chubby-bodied, big-eyed colorful horses (with symbols on their hips representing their names), were an instant hit. Little girls everywhere fell in love. The ponies have just celebrated their 26th birthday, and haven't aged a bit... just gotten sweeter smiles. Hello there cutie ponies! xxxo

Little Miss Sunshine
On a Monday, sometimes I need to think of something cute to motivate my laziness. Today it's Little Miss Sunshine, who is rather upbeat & perky. She co-hosts a show (in the Mr. Men books and cartoons) called "Good Morning Dillydale" with Mr. Happy. Sunshine + Happy = Cute! xxxo

Monkeys = Cute!
I saw a show on PBS about Japanese Macaque monkeys that hang out in hot springs at Monkey Park in Nagano, Japan. The Macaque troop regularly visits the Jigokudani-Onsen Springs, and are beyond cute luxuriating in the hot springs, putting snow atop their heads to cool down and relax. Hello there cutie monkeys... xxxo

Toilet Roll Doll's Are Cute
In the 70's, my Aunt Perle used to make doll toilet roll covers of all types. They were of different styles (Southern Belle had a bonnet & parasol, Modern Gal's dress was bright colored yarn, etc) and all were super cute! I would go into my Grandma's spare bathroom for hours, playing with the newest one Auntie had sent along with my brothers Hot Wheels (her boyfriend & friends were inside the mini toy cars). xxxo

Quisp is Qute
My favorite cereal as a kid was Quisp, which was a "Quazy energy cereal" (really) for Kids only. That's how it was advertised too! Sugar coated flying saucer shapes floated from your cereal bowl into your mouth. Yummy! The commercials featured a cute, zany cartoon character named Quisp, who was the "Qwon Pwince of Planet Q"... teehee! xxxo

88 Tees
While in Hawaii last year, my friend and I stumbled across a cool little store up a narrow set of stairs in Honolulu, 88 Tees. Filled with vintage t's and fashionistas, we found a haven of cute in a touristy beach city. The main characters of 88 Tees are Kuku, NaNa, YaYa, LuLu and KiKi, who are all adorably drawn with pot-bellies, big smiles and beachie outfits. Aloha cuties! xxxo

Oscar Mayer Weiner...
Isn't it amazing the junk we ate as children? And that our parents encouraged (aka bought) it as our "healthy" food? Remembering this, I found myself singing the "Oscar Mayer" song and recalled visiting the Weinermobile as a kid. It was so exciting and, of course, cute; funny thing is, I still have the whistle they gave me! xxxo

Japanese Matches
The Japanese seem appreciate that everyday items can be both cute and functional... I loves it! Even matches can be adorable, as evidenced by these adorable matchstick containers. I might have a problem burning a bunny -or- panda bear head smiley match but hey, it's darn cute!

You rang?
I have had this image on my computer for years... the history, I have no idea. I believe it's German in origin, and that's about all I can remember. I've kept it cus it's so weird it's cute. And makes me wonder who is she waiting to call? xxxo

Dandelion Wish...
Sometimes, when searching for inspiration, I go to the website Etsy to look at the work of different artists. This is by Kelly, whose work of sweet, Keane-esque girls in slightly weird scenarios drew me in this week. Awfully cute indeed! xxxo

Miffy
Bunnies are almost always cute... and one of my favorites, Miffy, is no exception. Born in 1955 to the illustrator Dick Bruna, Miffy is the star of multiple books and even has her own tv show on Noggin! Amazingly, she stays forever young and is truly a childs bunny. And darn cute! xxxo

Beluga Whale
When I was wee one, we used to go to Sea World... hours of good clean fun for a little girl that liked cute things. One of my favorite exhibits was the Beluga whale cus it was always smiling at me. It looked like a stuffed animal come to life, and was adorable when it swam and played in its tank. Hello there cutie whale! xxxo
