Happy May Day!!! I found this on Etsy, which as we know is a treasure trove for things I didn't know I needed! From the Depression era, this poster was made by the US government and I am pondering what they are telling us: to feed a child? Get a vaccination? Or something else? Well whatever the message, a big Hello There Cutie to a brilliant illustation very much of that era!

Rainy Cutie

Here in SF we're having a very dry winter which I adore but am told isn't good for the water supply. Well, rumour is that rain is on the way next week and I feel like this little guy in illustrator Matte Stephens picture: a bit gloomed out by the prospect. This great image (print can be purchased here) makes me feel kinda happy about the upcoming rain. And Hello There Cutie to this gloomy guy and the upcoming moisture. xxxo

Look what I found on Etsy cuties! Some adorable mary jane shoes with sweet clouds on them. Lovingly made with rosy red cheeks and hand stitched smiles, I just wish they came in my size (these are size 4 U.S./35 Euro). sigh... well Hello There Cutie kicks anyway! xxxo

Happy Place Cutie

Sometimes of the year it sucks being an orphan... this being one of them. Mother's Day is everywhere you look then once it's behind you it's Father's Day too. When all of this starts to get me down, I find solace in art that speaks to my heart on that day. This card from Etsy isn't my style in design (I would of preferred the airplane more simple), but I like the message and whimsical spirit in it.
