Drake University Bulldog Cutie
This is Tyson (of Urbandale Iowa) sitting on his majestic throne after being crowned the winner of the 33rd annual Drake Relays Beautiful Bulldog Contest last Monday. The pageant kicks off a week of festivities at Drake University, where a bulldog is the adorable mascot. My Mom went to the university for a semester (missed my Dad too much!) so a double affinity to Drake for me: crowning this Cutie and a sweet family connection. Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Princess Cupcake Cuties
To close out National Princess Week we have a sweet ending... cupcakes! And what princess wouldn't love to find this when she comes home from a tough day with the peasants? As a hint to those who might wish to have this delivered to my castle, please make them gluten-free and if that's too tough, just pick 'em up from Kara's (this princesses fave) Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

Snow White Princess Cutie-time
It's more princesses here for National Princess Week and here's my favorite fictional one: Snow White!!! We all know the familiar story of Snow and her adventures, but just take a moment and remember her in the woods with all those animal friends. If your heart doesn't just melt in a good way remembering, rent it immediately and give a big Hello There Cutie shout-out when at they are together! xxxo

Princess Peach is a Cutie
Time for a modern classic princess... Princess Peach Toadstool! Princess Peach is a character in Nintendo's Mario Brother's series and is royalty from the fictional Mushroom Kingdom. Peach is often plays damsel in distress role and that role has paid off: in 2007, she landed on Forbes magazine's Wealthiest Fictional People list with a fortune upwards of $1 billion!!! Hello There Cutie! xxxo

Blythe is a Princess Cutie
As you might recall, we adore the Blythe dolls from the 1960's and their sassy sense of fashion. So who better to celebrate day 2 of National Princess Week then our gal? This is the cover of a Japanese documentary about Blythe and wow, how super groovy is this princess with crown askew and amazing skirt corset? Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Princess Hello Kitty Cutie
This week has been proclaimed by Target and Disney to be "National Princess Week." Ok, I know this is a business ploy but hey, as someone called princess by many a friend, it got my interest. And altho I don't like the product tie-in's and mis-use of my title for mass retail, our friend Hello Kitty (who I think is an ultimate princess) will help us kick off the week... and Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

Earth Day Cutie
Just in time for Earth Day on April 22nd, Disney's releasing the movie "Chimpanzee." The filmmakers (same BBC team from the beautiful "Earth" and "Oceans" doc's) took their cameras to the heart of the African rainforest for their latest flick starring, as you can guess, an adorable chimpanzee! I have a feeling I know where I'll be for a matinee this weekend... Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Fairytale Cuties
The other day I was down at the Palace of Fine Arts with a friend and they shared this factoid: in England, no one is allowed to shoot a swan except the Queen (phew! I say). Lo and behold this image came to Hello There Cutie central after and it hit me as the cutest ever... Mommy swan transporting her fluffy wee ones. I wish I coulda seen this at the Palace but as I didn't, a big Hello There Cutie to these fairytale cuties caught on film. xxxo

Snail Mail Cutie
Gotta love Kate Spade... I do especially for her stationary! This little guy is on notecards available on her website and how perfect is it? An adorable snail for snail mail! I often buy her notecards but fear if I get this set, they will end up making a snail colony in my desk as I won't wish to give any away. Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Sunshine Happy Cutie Friday
A good friend is in Phoenix where the sun is warm, shining and a crying newborn is interrupting her sleep. The kawaii sunshine and cloud above are smiling towards Arizona to wish her a fun (albeit low on zzz's) time. And I'm sorry but with those three cute faces, how couldn't things be bright and happy? Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo
for Bella... safe trip back!

Ansel is a Cutie
We're often getting friend requests on Facebook but this one def caught my eye: Ansel the dog! Ansel lives in Westwwod (aka LA) and was adopted 3 years ago from an animal shelter. A Labradoodle (mix of Lab and Poodle), this Cutie has personality to spare as evidenced by his postings. And Like Doug and my pets, this shelter save is both adorable and totally sweet. And of course very Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo
for Tink!

Bob's a Cutie
In the early days of Hello There Cutie, I wrote about Bob's Big Boy and what an institution it was for me. Back in the Valley this weekend, I was reminded of Bob and remembered the comic books on the counter of the restaurant. Each visit, you would get the adventures of Bob, Dolly and their dog (what was his name?). Add in that there were puzzles and games, I would treasure these comics and now wish I still had them to reread. Well, Hello There Cutie and always happy to see one of your old school spots with the carhops! xxxo

East-over Cutie
This weekend are both Passover (tonite) and Easter (Sunday) and look who is celebrating: an East-over cutie! A bunny in a yarmulke is pretty darn adorable, but I'm wondering if he will eat the matzo instead of Easter treats. Whatever he nibbles, a big Hello There Cutie to our bunny friends this special weekend!!! xxxo

Another Aussie Easter Cutie
Another Easter chocolate cutie from our friends at Haigh's... this time a duckie! Todays posting has special meaning as I am the "little duckie" at bootcamp in our Tues/Thurs classes. Whatever the coach says to do, the little duckie follows. Unfortunately, this fabulously adorable chocolate isn't available in the US otherwise I'd been gettin them for the class! xxxo

Four Can Be Cutie
Today is 04/04, a number that is viewed in some cultures as unlucky. On the opposite side, I just recalled Feist singing about counting to four on Sesame Street. And with her singing about it so happily with four cute monsters, well who could have a bad four day? Hello There Cuties and happy 04/04 to you!!! xxxo

Boo's a Cutie
I recently found out about an English brand called Belle and Boo that is simply fab! Illustrated by Mandy Sutcliffe, one of their two main characters is this sweet bunny named Boo who resembles Amelie in her youth. Featured today is a 215mm x 307mm sticker they are selling of Emme (oops! meant Boo) to put on your wall to ensure daily cute. I think everyone needs one, how about you cuties??? xxxo

Bilby Cutie
Here at Hello Tere Cutie, we're always looking for something new: this chocolate from Australia is todays! Not a typical Easter bunny or duckie, this Bilby (a marsupial that in Aboriginal means “long nosed rat”) comes to us via Haigh's chocolates down under. Bilbies fall into "so ugly they are cutie" for me: a pointy muzzle that is like a rat, long ears like a rabbit and very soft, fluffy fur. Add in that this one is made of chocolate for Easter... well Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo
