Mayor Stubbs is a Cutie

Polls show that voters all over the country aren't happy with their their elected leaders, but the 900 residents of Talkeenta, Alaska love their mayor of over a decade! Mayor Stubbs is a 15-year-old  cat was elected to office as a write-in candidate shortly after his birth. Mayor Stubbs has more than 2,500 Facebook fans, nearly three times as many people who live in the town itself. And now another one from us: Hello There Cutie!   xxxo

Hump Day Cuties

It's Hump Day (as we used to giggle about in junior high) and here's another adorable image sent to us by Joseph in SF. Today we have a scene that is near and dear to my heart: a cat napping atop a dogs back. Why near and dear? Because it reminds me of Pussyfoot and Marc Antony (who we have talked about here) and I'm squealing inside that this is real. Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

Graffiti Cutie

We here at Hello There Cutie don't like, or approve of, graffiti. But when it's art, kinda hard to not to give a big thumbs up... this cat can be found on a sidewalk in the Mission district here in SF, and isn't it totally cute? Ok Cuties, I need your help... found this adorable vintage ceramic figurine online but can't figure out what the heck it is!!! The tail and haircut remind me of a dog, posture like a cat and ears of a rabbit. Is this a datbbit or what? Whatever it is, it's def Hello There Cutie worthy!!! xxxo

Cartoon Cuties

Tom & Jerry, the classic cat & mouse duo appeared in 114 theatrical MGM cartoons from 1940 to 1957, the first batch from Fred Quimby, followed by 18 produced by Hanna and Barbera. 13 shorts by Gene Deitch appeared in 1960. Warner Bros. veteran Chuck Jones revived the series in 1963 with 34 new shorts. In 1975, the guys returned via Hanna-Barbera for an all-new ABC Saturday morning series. CBS ran a Filmation version from 1980-82. Later FOX broadcast Tom & Jerry Kids in the 90s and finally Tom & Jerry Tales was a CW series up until last year. After almost 70 years, these cuties just keep the chase going.
