Princess Hello Kitty Cutie

This week has been proclaimed by Target and Disney to be "National Princess Week." Ok, I know this is a business ploy but hey, as someone called princess by many a friend, it got my interest. And altho I don't like the product tie-in's and mis-use of my title for mass retail, our friend Hello Kitty (who I think is an ultimate princess) will help us kick off the week... and Hello There Cuties!!!   xxxo

Earth Day Cutie

Just in time for Earth Day on April 22nd, Disney's releasing the movie "Chimpanzee." The filmmakers (same BBC team from the beautiful "Earth" and "Oceans" doc's) took their cameras to the heart of the African rainforest for their latest flick starring, as you can guess, an adorable chimpanzee! I have a feeling I know where I'll be for a matinee this weekend... Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Band-Aid Cuties

I cut myself today so went into the first aid kit and grabbed the first band-aid I saw... and look what was on it! (am wearing the big Mickey face 0n the left) I had totally forgotten about my Disney band-aids so had a huge smile when I glimpsed over and saw Mickey on my elbow. Talk about a Hello There Cutie way to start the day... xxxo

Little Lady is a Cutie

I was reading about the new DVD/Blu-Ray release of Lady and the Tramp and broke into a big smile. I remember seeing it as a kid at the LaReina theatre in North Hollywood with my Grandma Helen, and just cooing at how adorable Lady was when a puppy. I was never allowed to have a dog growing up, but I always knew that when and if I did, it would be just like Lady (even eating spaghetti with Tramp when she got older). Here's to a fave movie, and Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Swampy the Cutie

The cutie featured today is Swampy the alligator, who stars in an app for kids from Disney. What makes Swampy so noteworthy (besides his cuteness of course!) is that Disney is hoping that he will make it to the big screen (usually the movie is spun off of an app or game, not the other way around). I haven't been able to find out what adventures Swampy has but it really doesn't matter: with his rubber ducky, sweet smile and back scrubber we gotta shout out Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Tangled Cutie

I was watching Tangled with my niece the other evening and must say my fave character wasn't one you would expect! No, it wasn't the Princess but instead was Rapunzel Maximus (aka the horse). I really liked this character as it was a horse but personified a dog... a dorse of sorts! Well, whatever it officially is, I say Hello There Cutie! xxxo

Up! Cutie

A real-life version of the house made famous in the movie Up! is on the market in Herriman, Utah. The house mimics the movie version 1000%, from the weathervane, paint colors and siding outside to the interior details and furniture. The builder actually got permission from Disney before embarking on the project, but I do have one question: Is the crotchety old man included? (I hope not) Hello There Cutie house!!! xxxo

Carioca the Carnivale Cutie

José Carioca is a much-loved Disney character, a dapper Brazilian parrot from Rio de Janeiro. José was created in 1942 for the movie Saludos Amigos as a Latin American friend of Donald Duck. In Brazil he's known as Zé Carioca and still appears in regularly published comic books.

Dear Baby Deer Cutie

Sent to us by reader Damien of Brisbane, this dear baby deer is so sweet I can't stop "awwww"-ing. So small, and sitting peacefully in the palm of a lucky man, this cutie has once again made my Disney to real-life dreams come true. Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Bashful, But Cute!

Walt Disney's animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) is based on the fairy tale of the same name by the Brothers Grimm. In the story, princess Snow White escapes being murdered by the Huntsman (who was hired by the wicked stepmother, the Queen) and winds up at cottage belonging to seven dwarfs, who work in a nearby mine. The dwarfs return home to find their cottage clean and Snow White sleeping across three of their beds. The princess awakens and is welcomed into their cute home. She soon begins a new life cooking and keeping house for the dwarfs. The cutest of the dwarfs is voiced by Scotty Mattraw as Bashful, named because he is the shyest of the dwarfs, and is often embarrassed by the presence of any attention directed at him.
