A lot of fashion icons are pretty cartoonish, and here that idea is taken to the next level. Dutch illustrator Mike Frederiqo has portrayed Takashi Murakami (who we last wrote of here) as he might look in the underwater world of SpongeBob SquarePants. Yes, blissed out in his trademark flowers and fun! Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Uni is a Cutie

Todays cutie is Uni the unicorn from the 1980's Saturday morning cartoon Dungeons and Dragons. The show was based on the role playing game and was pretty violent for a morning show. Luckily, for cute relief, there was Uni, a baby unicorn that was the pet of a kid named Bobby. Uni had the ability to speak, though her words were not understandable to our mere mortal ears. It's ok Uni, you're still a Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo
thanks for the posting idea reader Donie from Oakland!

Nibbles is Soooo Cutie!

Our last Tom and Jerry tribute is Nibbles, a little grey, diaper-wearing orphan mouse that Jerry takes care of. Nibbles (aka Tuffy) is always hungry, likes milk (he is a baby after all!) and was featured in the 1949 Academy Award-winning short The Little Orphan, in addition to his T & J featurettes. With that sweet face and big belly, you know he gets a big Hello There Cutie! xxxo
thx for the great idea Donie!

A Talented Cutie

I love checking in on our readers to see what you're up to, and what a talented bunch of Cuties you are! The painting above is from Julie of Northern England's blog and it totally grabbed me... the moment captured reminds me of a Roy Lichtenstein painting, but there is something underlying that draws me into the subject's story. Whatever it is, we send out big Hello There Cutie "don't smear your mascara" wishes!!! xxxo

Super Bowl of Cute
Charlie Brown always falls for the same prank over and over again. Lucy Van Pelt can't help herself because Charlie is such an easy victim. These cuties are my two favorite football players and watching PEANUTS is a great alternative way to spend today.

Cute at Any Price!

Magilla Gorilla was the tar of THE MAGILLA GORILLA SHOW which ran from 1963 to 1966 and has been rerun ever since. Magilla spent his days in the display window of Mr. Peebles' Pet Show, eating bananas and being a clown for passersby. Desperate Mr. Peebles continually marked down Magilla's price to make the gorilla more attractive to potential customers. Each episode, Magilla would go home with a new owner, but somehow always ended up returning to the store.

One customer who was honestly interested in owning the big ape was a little girl named Ogee, who often asked "How much is that gorilla in the window?" .

We've got a gorilla for sale...
Magilla Gorilla for sale.
Won't you buy him...
take him home and try him...
gorilla for sale.
Don't you want a new gorilla you can call your own...
a gorilla who'll be with ya when you're all alone.
(Ogee speaking): "How much is that Gorilla in the window?"
Take our advice...
at any price...
a gorilla like Magilla is mighty nice.

Saturday Morning Cuties

After a few years of Saturday morning reruns, THE FLINTSTONES returned to the airwaves on CBS in 1971 as part of THE PEBBLES AND BAMM-BAMM SHOW. Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm-Bamm Rubble were now suddenly smitten teenagers and voiced by Sally (ALL IN THE FAMILY) Struthers and Jay (DENNIS THE MENACE) North! The show ran for a few seasons, returning periodically in repeats and debuting on DVD in 2008. These cuties were eventually married, making the Flintstones and Rubbles not only neighbors, but family too.

Cutest Toon Ever

Look who's back! Pussyfoot (sometimes referred to as "Cleo") is a supporting character in a handful of Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies animated shorts. Marc Antony is a bulldog who is her devoted companion and protector. A recurring theme of their relationship is that the cute kitty climbs onto the dog's back and starts kneading him to get comfortable, unaware that her little claws are causing him pain. The cat eventually snuggles into the canine's back for a nap and the two relax together peacefully. Awwww.
