Mr. Potato Head Cutie

As we all know, Mr. Potato Head is a major cutie (witness all those Toy Story films for proof!). I'm going to be seeing my beloved (and beleaguered) Chicago Cubs play tonite and look what I came across... Mr. PH himself as a Cubbie!!! I adore that he has not chewing tobacco but bubble gum and a big smile in anticipation of a win against the Giants. Hello There Cutie and Go Cubs! xxxo

Blamo Cutie

As you all know, we love Kid Robot's products... but now there's a new fave! Blamo makes adorable toys and this guy caught my eye as the juxtaposition between subject matter and materials is brilliant! Done as a part of their guest artist toy line, this "Wooden Robot prototype" is by fabulous SF artist Leighton Kelly. 5" high and carved out of all natural Suar wood, we gotta give a big Hello There Cutie to this guy. xxxo

Pez the Season to Be Cutie

Our friend Danny collects PEZ candy dispensers. These four cuties are a sample of his large collection. Though PEZ had been introduced in the 1920s in Austria, toy character head dispensers did not appear until 1955, when the candy was introduced in the United States. There are over 550 unique dispenser heads with thousands of variations. Santa Claus and Mickey Mouse were among the first character dispensers.

Amigurumi = Cute!

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of small stuffed toys. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words "ami" meaning knitted, and "nuigurumi" meaning stuffed. Amigurumi are usually cute animals, but can include people (like our teenage girl above).

One can't have cutie without the classic comic strip Peanuts... According to Linus, on Halloween night, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch he deems the most "sincere." The Great Pumpkin then flies through the air to deliver toys to all the good little children. One can cause the Great Pumpkin to pass him or her by saying "if he comes", as opposed to "when he comes." Leave it to the Japanese to create a USB flash drive that is also a cute toy! What does it do? I've heard that it turns red and blinks its eyes when you hit the letter "H" on your keyboard. How much fun is that?
