Snoopy Cutie

When I was little, my oldest brother used to send me Snoopy cards (and one time a beloved stuffed animal) for special occasions. When pondering today being Friday, I thought of the "Snoopy happy dance" then of my big brother Howard and had a big smile as a result. A nice way to end the week, isn't it? Hope you all have a very Hello There Cutie weekend!!! xxxo

Thank You Cuties

This is a Thank You card to all our fabulous readers!!! My new fave website Folksy (kinda a UK version of Etsy) has these adorable cards by "Asking For Trouble." Based upon their graphics, I think they should change their name to "Asking For Cute" myself! I adore their whimsical eye and details in both the inside and outside prints, and wish to give them a big Hello There Cutie hello. xxxo

Creepy & Cutie

The sentiment is sweet, but the copy writing is a bit macabre in this vintage Valentine's Day card. All that's missing is "I Love You TO DEATH Dear!"

Cute Little Pilgrim

This little fella has gathered up all his fruits and veggies for the harvest feast. I wonder why "For Auld Lang Syne" is called out, perhaps the phrase we now associate with New Year's started out as a Thanksgiving greeting?

Beware Cuties

"Beware! If you see a spook, Or hear a noise that's eerie as can be- If you get scared on Halloween- Call out- But not for me!" I admit, I'd call out for the cutie illustrations and fabulous retro typography too... xxxo

Wickedly Cute

Is it possible to be both wicked and cute? Well, this red-haired hag certainly isn't scary. From the illustration style depicted, I believe this image was from a greeting card circa 1970s. "No Magic Spell...No Witches Brew...Can Keep Me Away from You!" That is wickedly cute.

Sillisculpts are Cutiesculpts

After doing a bit of research, we here at Hello There Cutie have learned that "Sillisculpts" are the name for these popular, but peculiar rubbery-hard, molded little statuettes. The subjects were either of cute and/or pathetic figures situated on a base with an adorable or humorous saying "carved" into it. These card store novelty items were introduced in 1968 by R&W Berrie and became quite a fad because these goofy knickknacks that had a much longer shelf life than the average greeting card and appealed to people of all ages. Other companies such as American Greetings produced their own line of statues well into the 1980s.

Love is...Cute!

Love is... is a comic panel created by Kim Grove in the late 1960s, and was later produced by Stefano Casali. The strip is syndicated worldwide by Tribune Media since 1970. Love Is... began as a series of little love notes that Kim Grove drew for her future husband, Roberto Casali. The beginning of the strip coincided closely with the 1970 film Love Story. The film's signature line is "Love means never having to say you're sorry."
Known primarily for its cute little naked couple, Love is...products were marketed internationally for many years on greeting cards and on all sorts of cute knick-knacks.
More current versions of the the couple have them fully clothed, erasing the charm of the original concept.
