Exotic Monkey Cutie

These exotic monkey Cuties are really amazing: the species (the Drill Monkey) is extra sensitive to global warming. Scientists are studying these Cuties in their homeland of Africa to compare DNA and, with temperatures across equatorial Africa hotter and dryer, things are a-changing! Keep your eyes on National Geographic and science journals over the next few years to gauge their status... oh don't worry, I will and report back! Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

You know how much we love monkeys on Hello There Cutie... check out this photo taken here in SF! Local photog Bhautik Joshi took this down in the Dogpatch area and props to the artist who captured the monkeys spirit so perfectly in an anime way. Have a happy Monday and Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

Lance is a Cutie

I am a bit under the weather (injury) and cranky today so needed a smile... and what better then a rollicking theme song? Lancelot Link was a fave of my big brothers and I, and just rehearing this after so many years brought a huge smile to my little monkey-ish face. But I'll leave it for you to dance along for me, ok Cuties? xxxo

Cutie Monday Monkeys

It's Monday... the last one was pretty tough (parking tickets and worked late into the pm) so I'm entering this one with a smile. And what better for a Monday smile then two cute monkeys giggling. Is that a grin I see on your face too? Hello There Cutie Mondays! xxxo

Blythe In A Cutie Dress

One of our very first postings on Hello There Cutie was Blythe... and we still feel she's a top ten cutie!!! Different individuals are currently making dresses for this 70s icon, and the one above incorporates one of our favorite animals (monkeys) in an adorable frock. So once again we say, Hello There Cutie Blythe! xxxo

We Love Kawaii Kuties...

Monkey + Bunny = Happy!!! How can't we follow this monkey's wish to "Love me" when he has a carrot for the adorable bunny? Add in that she has a strawberry for him (I didn't know monkeys ate them), happy tulips, and fabulous colors of this origami set, we just gotta give this a big Hello There Cutie hello. xxxo

Cute as a Pink Monkey Flower Love

This plastic toy has it all. It's like a checklist of cuteness. Pink : check. Monkey: check. Flower: check. Love: check. Add in some green ears, another blue flower and the cutest face ever and you have the epitome of cuteness...until the next cutie comes along.

Sock Cuties

A sock monkey is a cute stuffed toy made from socks and fashioned to look like a monkey. These stuffed animals are a fixture of folk art and kitsch. The iconic sock monkeys made from red-heeled socks emerged around 1932, the year the Nelson Knitting Company added the trademarked red heel to its product. This red heel gave the monkeys their distinctive mouth. Nelson was awarded the patent in 1955, and began including the pattern with every pair of socks. In 1958, the craft magazine Pack-O-Fun published "How to Make Sock Toys", a guide to making different sock animals and dolls with red heeled socks. The red heel sock is still in production by Fox River Mills.

Simone Legno = Cute

Simone Legno is a Roman illustrator who is best known for his line "tokidoki." The characters he creates are cute with a punk edge. The mini-book shown above was done for back-to-school at Target this year and can be found in my purse. Punk rock bunnies + monkeys = cute! xxxo

Extra Sunday Monkey Cuteness

Monkeys = Cute!

I saw a show on PBS about Japanese Macaque monkeys that hang out in hot springs at Monkey Park in Nagano, Japan. The Macaque troop regularly visits the Jigokudani-Onsen Springs, and are beyond cute luxuriating in the hot springs, putting snow atop their heads to cool down and relax. Hello there cutie monkeys... xxxo
