Flatsy = Cutie

Flatsy's were flat dolls made by Ideal from the late 60s thru early 70s. They had floor length hair and wore "mod" clothes. Each Flatsy had a "theme" and came with an accessory, all removable from their framed environment hung on your wall. And did I forget to mention they were cute? xxxo

*yes, the top photo is keeping with my b-day month theme...

Kutie Kiddles

Kiddles Dolls had their heyday in the early 70s and are tiny--hence their charm and name! The Kiddles could be worn (Lucky Locket Kiddles) and even sniffed (Kola Kiddles and Kiddle Kolognes). Their oversized eyes gave them an innocent air, and groovy outfits made them extra cute. Hmmm... where might mine be? xxxo

Cute as a Bizzzy Bee

Wow - I wish I had one of these! I'd love to make a patriotic doll with wigs, clothes, accessories and a throw rug! I'd be just like Nora, she's the bizzziest bee of them all!

70s Dolls Are Cute

Another reader pick, this time from Vaughn in San Francisco...

Back in the 70s, kids learned how to dress with the help of Dressy Bessy and Dapper Dan. These oversized dolls had large buttons and snaps for little hands to learn from, and had super cute faces. Always smiling too. And yes, the first small photo is what you think it is... teehee. Hello there cutie dolls! xxxo

Rock Flowers Are Rock n Roll Cute!

Rock Flowers Dolls are 6 ½” vinyl dolls that were produced by Mattel in the first half of the 70s to compete with the popular 7" Dawn dolls. Whereas Dawn and her friends were all top fashion models (in high fashion outfits), The Rock Flowers were “rockers” who exuded a more casual, funky quality. And came with records that they would twirl on. Hello there cutie dolls! xxxo
