One of our very first postings on Hello There Cutie was Blythe... and we still feel she's a top ten cutie!!! Different individuals are currently making dresses for this 70s icon, and the one above incorporates one of our favorite animals (monkeys) in an adorable frock. Shy is Cute

This little cutie is a shy little thing. Her big blue eyes and rosy cheeks are so adorable, you just want to pinch her. Not sure who made this gem, or even what era she's from. Her smart little yellow outfit and her ladylike hair style show seem to indicate the 1940s, but perhaps she's even older than that. Either way, she's a welcome addition to the Cutie family.

Little Cutie Head

Not sure where the rest of this cutie is, but her head sure is cute! Her big, bright smile and pretty little eye lashes make her a darling doll part from her brilliant red bow to her chubby little chin. Now where did I put the rest of her?

Toilet Roll Doll's Are Cute

In the 70's, my Aunt Perle used to make doll toilet roll covers of all types. They were of different styles (Southern Belle had a bonnet & parasol, Modern Gal's dress was bright colored yarn, etc) and all were super cute! I would go into my Grandma's spare bathroom for hours, playing with the newest one Auntie had sent along with my brothers Hot Wheels (her boyfriend & friends were inside the mini toy cars). xxxo

In 1972, the Blythe doll was born... sadly, her oversized head and peepers were deemed too scary for children so Blythe's manufacturer pulled her (and her sisters) the shelves, preventing many young girls from meeting her. Nowadays, a new generation of Blythe dolls can be found everywhere from Bendel's (where they do a special holiday edition) to hipster toy shops like Kid Robot. Why? Cus she's so cute! xxxo
