Cute Bday Cake

Today is the bday of my friend Tink and... ME! Having known each other since high school, we do have a similar aesthetic when it comes to a few things, biggest being cute items and Hello Kitty. Girly Bday Cutie

My secret girly side emerges... I love flowers on my birthday. They make the day seem even more special! Next best thing to flowers? A vintage French card from the 50's with a wish for the "smell of a birthday." Ok, to me that means cupcakes and all my faves but hey, if it's flowers I'll take that too. It's August Cuties!!!

It's August so you know what that means... birthday month! Unfortunately, I've got a big project to work on before and post my b-day so won't be having a party this year. Sugar is a Hello Kitty Cutie

Shocking but true Cuties... I don't know everything about Hello Kitty. Awhile ago I wrote about her pet Charmmy Kitty but I didn't know about Sugar! Given the name because of his color, Sugar was given to Hello Kitty the same time as Charmmy to keep them company. Sugar's a white hamster whose birthday is this Sunday, so lets all give a big Happy Birthday Cutie to this adorable hamster friend (seen above with Charmmy). xxxo

Last year for my birthday dinner, our family went to Musso & Frank, the great classic Hollywood grill. Mom loved it, and today I remember the woman who I wouldn't be celebrating this day without... a true Cutie indeed!!! xxxo

Rocky celebrated his 50th birthday yesterday. He's still as cute as the day he premiered a half-century ago! Happy birthday Rocky, and Bullwinkle too!

Not sure why this birthday cutie is crying...maybe someone left her cake out in the rain? Maybe she's depressed about turning 5? It's okay sweetie 5 is the new 3! Maybe she was eliminated from that latest Toddlers & Tiaras competition? Or maybe she's just forgotten to take her meds...oh well. Cheer up, sleepy Jean.

Bunny Kit = Cute

No surprise that for my birthday I got some cute gifts; this won the "Hello There Cutie Prize." The tin box has the most adorable little girlfriends working together sewing a toy bunny, with a stylized "white rabbit" (like the Chinese candy) on the front. Inside is a kit to sew a felt bunny, which I'm going to craft with Mom this w-end. Living the hello there cutie life... we love it! xxxo
