Cute Ikea Packaging

So I'm a pretty healthy eater overall but cute packaging is truly a downfall; who can resist it? I was just reading about the redesign of Ikea's packaging by Stockholm Design Lab and of course had to check it out. Now I'm not a fan of fish out of a tube but hey, this salmon and crab paste packaging is so adorable I might have to try some... how about you?   Hello There Cutie!!!   xxxo

Milky Cutie

I was with some friends last nite and their (almost 3 year old) daughter, after being put to bed, came out and asked for some warm milk. It was so adorable, Anouk walking with her bottle of milk all sleepy-eyed. I recently rediscovered the Russian design studio Hattomonkey who do some very Hello There Cutie worthy packaging; above is a carton of milk they did that I think Anouk would approve of. We certainly do, right cuties? xxxo

Yummy Tummy Cuties

For an upcoming client project, I am designing packaging so beginning to look about for inspiration. These wonderful boxes, designed by Landor Sydney, caught my eye for being so adorable. The product, koala-shaped mud cakes called Yummy Tummy Koalas, each have a different koala friend on the front of the box indicating flavor. And with the Yummy Tummy name alone, pretty darn Hello There Cutie right??? xxxo

Cutie Bread Packaging

This super cute packaging was done for Fazer Vilpuri bread in Finland. Hasan & Partners is the design agency responsible for this, and I'm jealous this bread can't be found in the US! Wouldn't it be great to go to the supermarket and find this cutie on the shelf??? I think I'd have to buy a couple just to keep each other company... Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Taiwan Cuties

As you all know by now, I've got a thing for packaging. Make it Asian packaging... even better. Make it Asian packaging with a Cutie on the front who looks like she's having a pissy fit... almost best. What makes it best? When there's a tv commercial too with two Cuties in it too... Some Cutie Critters

One of my girlfriends and I went shopping at Trader Joe's and discovered a mutual love of caramels. We bought a huuuge box then split it in the car so each could have their respective treats. Luckily the caramels we bought weren't in Route 29's shown above... you think I would of split the box? Adorable happy bunnies with chickadee friends in a park-like setting gets a big Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Tonight I'll be having Italian food with my friend (and surrogate brother) Andy. In tribute to Italy, we bring you this adorable milk packaging. Would you not buy it based upon the splashes of illustrated milk, great colors, fabu stripes and happily grazing cows on the front? I would Cuties... xxxo

Cherry-licious Cute

When we hear of something being cooked up by "the folks in North Carolina," soda isn't exactly the first thing that comes to mind. Nevertheless, Cheerwine is a yummy cherry-flavored soda made w/real cane sugar(!) in the hills of NC since 1917. With that adorable retro packaging, it's a lot less likely to get you arrested than that other drink too... xxxo

Suntory Cuties

What is this? A good question! These cuties are from a Suntory beverage (I have no idea what) and are rather opposite. The smiley guy on the front (with a leaf accent) seems to welcome my partaking of his bevvie, whereas his friend on the twist-top is sad. Don't worry cuties: you're too cute to drink!!! xxxo

Food Cuteness

I don't believe you need to eat anything if it's not cute... obviously the British agree! This pasta is targeted towards kids but I'd totally try it. It sounds yummy, is all natural and has a sweet little boy reading to me about the benefits! Yummy + Cutie = Hello There Cutie food. xxxo

Like most, I've had a long winter cold and have gone thru zillions of kleenex. If these UK boxes of tissues were in SF, betcha my nose woulda been smiling! The adorable faces make me wish I had a Euro cold instead. Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

I'm a typical American girl... I prefer sweet to sour. That said, the cutie super heroes on the front of this Japanese package of super-sour-crunchy Ume, the pickled Japanese plum, tempt me to try this. Perhaps I'll be big 'n' strong like them post eating some. Or at least have the ability to make silly faces. xxxo

It's been too long (in my mind) since we had some cute packaging on the site... this is from the brand Life NK. OMG, I think I need to outfit my life in this brand. Tis the season to start eating junk food... hooray! In honor of the cooling of the temps, I present this adorable Caramel Corn packaging from Japan. The cutie guy is smiling adorably, and she is shyly smiling back at him; as the flower is over her left ear, that means she's single. I wonder if he knows that??? xxxo

When I was little, my Mom took me to sewing lessons... something I really wish had stuck! Instead, I admire my friends that sew & look at old patterns packaging with glee. "Why" you might be wondering "did she post 'to go' cups?" Because they aren't what they appear to be!!! The hosiery brand Pretty Polly, (sold at Selfridges/UK), come in cardboard takeaway coffee cups marked with the words "Caution Hot Tights." Quirky, eye-catching and super cute indeed! xxxo

Cute British Packaging

When I saw this packaging, I squealed. Cute is so multi-faceted! UK-based agency Studio Blackburn created a campaign for Traidcraft, (a fair trade organisation that fights poverty through trade) that is both clever and cute. Add in that it brings attention to a good cause... perfection! xxxo
