Caracal Cuties

Doug had a link to this critter on his Facebook today and I was intrigued... it's a Caracal! They live in Africa, the Middle East, Pakistan and India primarily in dry steppes and semi deserts. Caracal prefer open country as long as there is sufficient cover (bushes and rocks) from which to ambush prey. I think the prey must just smile at how adorable these critters are and surrender upon confrontation. Makes sense, right? Hello There Cuties!   xxxo

Exotic Monkey Cutie

These exotic monkey Cuties are really amazing: the species (the Drill Monkey) is extra sensitive to global warming. Scientists are studying these Cuties in their homeland of Africa to compare DNA and, with temperatures across equatorial Africa hotter and dryer, things are a-changing! Keep your eyes on National Geographic and science journals over the next few years to gauge their status... oh don't worry, I will and report back! Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

Mongoose Cuteness

Native to sub-Saharan Africa, these adorable dwarf mongooses are the smallest carnivores in Africa. The dwarf mongoose is a social creature that lives in small groups and is so adorable I think I might need one for a pet. Hello there cutie mongoosies!!! xxxo
