Miffy's Family of Cute



Miffy (who we have previously written about!) and her family are extremely popular in Europe. This crocheted grouping is just one medium (they are in books, fabric, video... you name it!) for you to embrace them. I love the old fashioned treatment of Miffy and her family in this form, and wish there to be a crochet revival... the texture is so groovy. And so Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Amigurumi = Cute!


Amigurumi is the Japanese art of small stuffed toys. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words "ami" meaning knitted, and "nuigurumi" meaning stuffed. Amigurumi are usually cute animals, but can include people (like our teenage girl above).

Cutie Papoose


The word "papoose" comes from the Algonquian Indian word "papoos" and means "child". The word came originally from the Narragansett. This crochet mother and papoose likely came from the 1970s.
