Drake University Bulldog Cutie

This is Tyson (of Urbandale Iowa) sitting on his majestic throne after being crowned the winner of the 33rd annual Drake Relays Beautiful Bulldog Contest last Monday. The pageant kicks off a week of festivities at Drake University, where a bulldog is the adorable mascot. My Mom went to the university for a semester (missed my Dad too much!) so a double affinity to Drake for me: crowning this Cutie and a sweet family connection. Hello There Cutie!!!   xxxo

Fairytale Cuties

The other day I was down at the Palace of Fine Arts with a friend and they shared this factoid: in England, no one is allowed to shoot a swan except the Queen (phew! I say). Lo and behold this image came to Hello There Cutie central after and it hit me as the cutest ever... Mommy swan transporting her fluffy wee ones. I wish I coulda seen this at the Palace but as I didn't, a big Hello There Cutie to these fairytale cuties caught on film. xxxo

Happy Hanukkah Cuties!

Tonite at sundown marks the first evening of Hanukkah. In celebration we bring you a photo of three year old me and my Mommy with a Hanukkah gift of a Jack in the box. Behind my Mom is a stuffed tiger (he was my fave!) along with a styrofoam hanging decoration she had made then blinged with glitter in the shapes of dreidels, menorahs and other holiday objects.

Otter You Cutie!

Sorry for the last posting today Cuties... how dare work get in the way of cute?!! Today's posting of a mommy and her baby otter (via the San Diego Reader newspaper) is dedicated to my Mommy. It woulda been her birthday today and she was the ultimate cutie. I love you still Mom and major hugs to all the moms out there. xxxo

A Baby Hippo Cutie

Reader Andy of San Francisco sent us this image today and isn't it the sweetest ever? The baby hippo looks to be taking some first big kid steps into the water with mommy there for security. Reminds one of their own childhood doesn't it? Hello There Cuties! xxxo

This year for Valentines Day I decided to surprise my brothers with some family photos I had secretly restored. This one is of my original four Valentines and me (the cutie in the front looking oh so serious!). Although loves have come & gone throughout the years, these four have have always been my special Valentines... and always will be. xxxo

Fiddle Faddle Cutie

Today was my Mom's birthday... Whenever I would visit her, I'd go to the store and buy Fiddle Faddle as it was her weakness (hey, whatever it would take to add a pound to her small frame I'd try it!!!). In fitting with her being a Cutie, the Faddle has a Cutie on the front of the box... it is a Cutie world after all. xxxo

Had to mail some bills (like rent!) today and looked at my postage stamps. Mommy always bought the prettiest ones she could find and mine are kinda, well, boring. Made me think about postage stamps and if there are any cutie ones out there. Of course there are!!! Summertime Cute

This saucy (and cute!) gal with a vintage Cali tan made me smile... Reminded me of hot summer days at Will Rogers Beach in Santa Monica. Bbq'd chicken with flecks of sand. Water from a giant iced thermos. Playing in the waves til exhausted. And hugs from Mom when wrapped in a warm beach towel. Hello There Cutie! xxxo

The Ultimate Cutie

This is my first Mother's Day without Mom.... and as an orphan. Adelyne was truly the ultimate Cutie (as evidenced by this child bride photo of her!) and wrote me the most amazing notes throughout the years that I am compiling into a wee book. She is still in the hearts of many with much love and respect. ps I love you Mommy xxxo
