May Day Cuties

Happy May Day!!! I found this on Etsy, which as we know is a treasure trove for things I didn't know I needed! From the Depression era, this poster was made by the US government and I am pondering what they are telling us: to feed a child? Get a vaccination? Or something else? Well whatever the message, a big Hello There Cutie to a brilliant illustation very much of that era!

May Day Cuties

International Workers' Day (aka May day) was an important holiday of the Soviet Union, celebrated with parades in major cities. This flag dates back to the 60's, and features two cutie comrades with their arms linked and a giant flower. I wonder what the letters on the flower stand for... Perhaps it's Russian for Hello There Cutie?!!! xxxo
