Oregon Cute!

A friend of mine was recently in Bend, Oregon for a wedding and saw this sign! I adore the J. Lo bootie on the squirrel and that the sign is written for them, not us humans. Which brings up the question: Did you know squirrels can read? (tee hee) Hello There Cutie!!!   xxxo

Sonoma Cutie

Sorry for the absence cuties... been in work and not adorable-land. But look who brought me back: Mugly! Driving back to SF from Sonoma yesterday, the traffic was awful and I wondered why. Well, in addition to a big Nascar thingie it was the World's Ugliest Dog contest at the Sonoma-Marin County Fair. Mugly, the winner, is a Chinese Crested dog from the UK and I gotta confess: he's so ugly he's kinda Hello There Cutie to me!   xxxo

Playground Cutie

I might be seeing my little friend Anouk tonite and whenever I do, my mind goes straight to playing. This playground is La Laguna Playground in San Gabriel so a bit far to drive, darnit! What makes this p-ground so cool is that instead of traditional equipment, it's populated by 14 concrete monster sculptures instead. Built in a sand-filled lagoon in 1965, it was designed by Mexican artist Benjamin Dominguez and saved from demolition in 2006. I read all about the La Laguna here, and it's a fascinating read if you have a chance. Hello There Cutie!   xxxo

Salty Cutie

I went walking down to Clement Street yesterday and stoppped by my fave Japanese supermarket: Super Tokio! While there, I saw this guy above and immediately thought this would be a great solution for the ordinary salt on my shelf. Well, it's not ordinary salt, as the owner told me when I went to purchase this Ajinomoto salt, it's a special MSG salt. (yeeech) So now I ponder: if I went back and washed out the container then I could use it for my boring salt? Hello There Cutie!   xxxo

I'm Baaack Cuties!

Sorry for the lack of posts this week Cuties... have been under deadline and all my creative-brain has been needed there. That said, last pm I was chatting with my eldest brother and the subject of ice cream came up. It is both of our "go to" treats, something I never knew. If only the ice cream in our freezers looked like these: big smiles on adorable faces, I don't think we would eat our fave treats... I'd for sure just be smiling at 'em! Hello There Cuties!!!   xxxo

Hello There Cutie has Jubilee fever but how can't we (or is the wee?) with this tea towel? Ok, perhaps not the most proper thing but isn't it just fun and funny? Today is 06/06 which brought to mind the classic Multiplication Rock episode "I Got Six." You know how it goes, right cuties? "I got six... That’s all there is..." with a fabulous 70's-esque soul-funk beat. Alice's Tea Cuties

Golden Gate Park Cuties

Am back from Chicago Cuties... didja miss me? While I was gone, the Golden Gate Bridge had it's 75th(!) anniversary party and these coyotes pups were born in Golden Gate Park. Although I can walk over to the GGBridge to give it a big congrats, there have been warnings posted to avoid the coyote pups for their own safety... guess we'll have to let a photo say this to them instead: Hello There Cuties!!!   xxxo

Chicago Cutie-Time

I'm off to Chicago today for a family wedding (congrats Lou and Kristin!), check out a museum or two and watch my beloved Cubs win a game (eternal optimist). Emme has her uncle's checking in on her, and I have a feeling that upon my return I will find a very fat and happy bunny from eating far too many treats.

HRH Cuties

In honor of HRH Queen Elizabeth's upcoming Jubilee next month, here's a sassy image of "Liz" and two of her beloved corgi's. The Queen has had this particular breed of dog since she was young Princess and was given her very own first corgi, Susan, on her 18th birthday. Since then Her Majesty has had over 30 corgis, nearly all of of which have been descended from her beloved Susan... Presidio Heights Cutie

Outside my office window for the past week or so have been two birds that look similar to this guy above. Mr. and Mrs. Sparrow appear to be building a nest very close to my apt., and keep hopping up on the fence looking into the room where I am.
