Golden Gate Park Cuties

Am back from Chicago Cuties... didja miss me? While I was gone, the Golden Gate Bridge had it's 75th(!) anniversary party and these coyotes pups were born in Golden Gate Park. Although I can walk over to the GGBridge to give it a big congrats, there have been warnings posted to avoid the coyote pups for their own safety... guess we'll have to let a photo say this to them instead: Hello There Cuties!!!   xxxo

Chicago Cutie-Time

I'm off to Chicago today for a family wedding (congrats Lou and Kristin!), check out a museum or two and watch my beloved Cubs win a game (eternal optimist). Emme has her uncle's checking in on her, and I have a feeling that upon my return I will find a very fat and happy bunny from eating far too many treats.

Have a wonderful long weekend Cuties and before I take-off a question: think my plane ride will be like the one Hello Kitty is taking?   xxxo

Purity Cuties

Who are these two Cuties? My grandpa Lou and his brother Sidney, in front of my grandparents Chicago deli the Purity. I remember my grandpa always having a smile (and chocolate malt balls) so it's funny to see this photo of him looking so serious... I do see a cigar so yep, that's him. Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

Baby Sea Lion Cuties

Two baby sea lions, whose mother gave birth to them at Pier 39 in SF then abandoned them there for reasons unknown, have settled into their new home at Brookfield Zoo outside Chicago. They don't have names yet, but with how cute they are, betcha it'll be adorable!!! Hello There Cuties! xxxo

Cubs Are Cutie

I'm ditching work for the afternoon to see the cutest team in baseball play... the Cubbies! They are in SF for a series, and hopefully they'll win as a b-day month present to me. (yes, I do dream a bit) This old logo of theirs is my fave, and is totally Hello There Cutie worthy. xxxo

Beautiful Cuties

I found this sticker in my desk drawer the other day and was curious about its origin. Turns out an art group from Chicago has been sending these out to people for the past 4 years to give and paste about their hometowns. If you're interested in being part of this cute movement, info is here. xxxo

March Madness Cuties

In celebration of March Madness, we bring you the Harlem Globetrotters. Founded in Chicago in 1926, the Globetrotters did live shows but weren't on my radar til their Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning cartoon! From 1970 to 1973, they had madcap/goofy adventures (very Scooby-like... perhaps because it aired after). Rumour has it a new version of the cartoon is on the horizon. I wonder if I'll still giggle? xxxo

Superdawg Cuties

"Who" you might be asking "are these two cuties on a box?" Why let me answer that... they are Maurie and Flaurie of Superdawg in Chicago. In addition to being able to see them at their drive-in location, you can also spy M & F at Midway airport. We adore their retro cool illustration style, and how Flaurie is kinda shy while Maurie flexes his muscles to impress her. Total cuties!!! xxxo

Booooooo Cuuuuutie

Having been to (and adored) Illinois many times, this cutie could tempt me outside Chicago... Between the adorable croc costume, spooky ghost in the background and happy pumpkin friend on a chartreuse background, we just gotta say Hello There Cutie! xxxo
