Ponyo is a Cutie

I recently watched a movie called Ponyo. It's about a girl goldfish named Ponyo who befriends a five-year-old human boy, Sōsuke. She has magical powers and wants to become a human girl. I won't tell you what happens except to say this: it's very Cutie!!! xxxo

Poke Cutie

I was watching Pokeman with my friend Izzy and we kept squealing how cute they are (she's 8 so has an excuse.... mine is this website). The characters have been on my mind since so had to look them up. This one is my fave... I call him Farte-man!!! Hello There Cutie! xxxo

Better Late Then Not Cutie...

Bape hosted Bapesta!!Pro-Wrestling tournament in Tokyo this May, featuring some of Japans top pro wrestlers. The artist Yudetamago created a new wrestling costume and character (Apegon) just for this event. Above is the poster featuring this new character and two faves of mine: Baby Milo and the wrestling superhero Kinnikuman (I don't know the fourth). Who knew Cuties could be in wrestling too? xxxo

Cambridge Kawaii

While in back east, I went into a cool store in Cambridge. One friend bought sunglasses, others tried on silly outfits... I did research for you, my Cuties! Here is the first of three research posts in a place I was told "photos are prohibited." (whoopsie!) This was a purse front that totally grabbed my attention: it says kawaii and is! Anpanman is A Cutie

I was reading a NY Times article that Hello Kitty isn't as popular as she once was in Japan. Who has usurped her crown? Anpanman, a character that is based on a Japanese jam-filled pastry. Anpanman fights the evil Meanyman, and helps the people of the town in his animated series on Nippon tv. Whatta Cutie indeed! xxxo

Dreidel Cutie

This is something I never imagined: an anime Hannukah illustration! This cutie has typically large anime eyes, and is staring intently at his spinning dreidel. His smile is bittersweet tho; perhaps he's afraid he'll land on "Shin" and have to put a piece of candy into the pot? Oy... Hello There Cutie Hanukkah Boy! xxxo

Cute & Sad

Not sure why this birthday cutie is crying...maybe someone left her cake out in the rain? Maybe she's depressed about turning 5? It's okay sweetie 5 is the new 3! Maybe she was eliminated from that latest Toddlers & Tiaras competition? Or maybe she's just forgotten to take her meds...oh well. Cheer up, sleepy Jean.
