I was talking with someone I work with about how today is kinda weird... people are driving freaky, those I chat with are off and overall there's something in the air. On a day like today, there's only one answer: take me away to Cutie-ville! This theme park is from our friends at Sanrio and wow, just looking at it makes me happy already. Perhaps a carousel ride is in my future for a pick-me-up? Hello There Cuties! xxxo

Charuca + Hello Kitty = Cutie

As you might recall from our previous posts about the Spanish artist Charuca (here & here), we adore his style of kawaii and fun with a slightly off twist. So imagine my surprise when my InBox had a newsletter of his newest stuff, including a collaboration with our fave Hello Kitty!!!
This illustration is for the Sanrio Foundation which "bring smiles to children in hospitals"... a good cause and a fave artist? Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

A Year of Cuteness

"Gung Hay Fat Choy" says My Melody in celebration of Chinese New Year. Mighty Fine has done an adorable t-shirt that can be found here to commemorate this big year for her. Now only if they had printed on it "A Year of Cutie-ness" we'd be in Hello There Cutie heaven. xxxo

Artsy Cutie

Earlier this month Sanrio invaded Miami's Art Basel 2010 and look who was there… Hello Kitty!!! Original art and installations by Shepard Fairey (piece above) and dozens more brought cute to the world of fine art. And I say it's about time. Now to see if any are on after Xmas clearance yet… xxxo

Sanrio Cuties

Pankun is a baby panda who was abandoned in a forest where pandas live. His favorite possession is an old mitten that was in the box with him when he was abandoned. Pankun loves bread, and his tummy rumbles whenever he sees the two pieces of bread, Shokupan and Koppepan. Gosh Sanrio is cute but weird... we love it!!! xxxo

Hoover Holiday

Ok, I gotta be real here: this Hoover would not be my ideal Cutemaskah present! Altho it is red and has a sassy bow, I'd be a bit more interested in the gifts to the side of it, especially if one is from Cartier. Or Sanrio. Or not an appliance. Luckily this cutie seems happy with her gift... better her then me! xxxo

Devilishly Cutie

Isloromannic (real name Berry), is a Japan-only Sanrio character and little boy demon with big horns. Berry’s partner in crime is a little girl demon named Cherry, and they can be seen dancing away in their ghoulish haunted house here. This delightfully devilish demon duo are major cuties, aren't they??? xxxo

Kuromi is Kute!

One sunny day in a SoCal mall with my partner in crime (-aka- this blog amongst many adventures) Doug, we discovered a new Sanrio character, Kuromi. She’s My Melody’s arch enemy... well maybe not enemy, but they’re total opposites. Kuromi's totally a punk rock, boy crazy version of My Melody in black... cute but tough. Wonder why I like her??? xxxo
