Who is this Gumby on steroids? Why it's "Shanghai Baby" (Hai Bao 海宝), the official mascot of the World Expo 2010. Hai Bao's Conan hair has updated him from his American cousin Gumby, but I do adore his larger eyes and bigger smile. (I think he's ready to party at the Expo) Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Animation legend Art Clokey passed away yesterday. Art was a pioneer in stop-motion clay animation, beginning in 1955. He is best known for his adorable animated television character Gumby. Since the 1950s Gumby and his pony pal Pokey have been a familiar presence on TV and in a 1995 feature film, Gumby: The Movie.
