Say "Hello There Cutie" to Hong Dong, the extremely rare Red Tibetan Mastiff that a Chinese industrialist paid $1.5 million for. Altho we do love our shelter critters here at HTC central, this guy sure did win us over with his floppy ging hair, sweet face and that it is believed the breed blessings of health and security. Bimbos Are Cuties Too!

Awhile ago my friend Patrice was in Mexico and he posted a photo of the Grupo Bimbo (the largest bakery in the world) mascot. The corporate image, a small white teddy bear, was inspired by a Xmas card sent by the grandson of the company's founder to his grandmother during the early 1950. The International Furniture Fair Singapore is going to be held this month from March 9 - 12. In previewing some of the exhibitors, I came across these Cutie-worthy chairs from 2L1Y. The 3 designers from this company have some fabulous designs (which you can find here) but these caught my eye: brightly coloured chairs & benches with planters and wonderfully rounded corners. I think we might need to go to Singapore to check these out Cuties... got your passport ready? xxxo

Springtime Cutie

Although Spring isn't officially here yet Cuties, it sure feels like it outside my window. In tribute to this season of flowers and renewal, I bring you my favorite: a baby lamb!!! Brass Monki is a 22 year old artist named Daniel Reese from Merseyside in the UK. In 2009 he began using software to place pop culture imagery onto Nikes. You know we love our mutts (and rescue critters) Cuties but GCH Foxcliffe Hickory Wind, who won the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club show yesterday, awakened us to a new breed. This gal is the first Scottish deerhound to win best in show at Westminster, and she sure looks sweet but regal. This week begins the celebration of Chinese New Year, the most important and longest-lasting holiday in the Chinese lunar calendar. Signs of happiness and prosperity are posted as well as the 2011 mascot: the rabbit. Uli is a Cutie

This adorable baby elephant was sent in by Cutie reader Andy of San Francisco! Uli (the wee one) is standing close to his mom Sabie at the zoo in Wuppertal, Germany. He is an African elephant, who was born on January 16th weighing nearly 100 kilos (220 pounds) at birth. Wow, that's a big boy... and he deserves a big Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

With Springtime around the corner (in my mind!) it's time to ready for the best part of the season: the flowers! When I was little, I'd gather flowers like these from my mommy's garden and put them into a juice glasses for display. They were so cute, it was irresistible! One of my girlfriends and I went shopping at Trader Joe's and discovered a mutual love of caramels. We bought a huuuge box then split it in the car so each could have their respective treats. Luckily the caramels we bought weren't in Route 29's shown above... you think I would of split the box?
