As part of my birthday month, I've been indulging in some faves... including chocolate from Teuscher of Switzerland. Once a week their chocolate is flown in fresh to their stores and boy, is it amazing! A great thing T. offers is whimsical packaging; this wizard hides a champagne truffle in his tummy. Little Sun Bear's A Cutie

The oldest Sun Bear at the Singapore Zoo is now the proud grandmother of a yet to be named male baby bear. The 33-year-old matriarch named Garang, which means ‘fierce’ in Malay, and her daughter Judy welcomed the new family member in February. This little guy sure looks more Cutie then fierce so he gets a big Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Today I'm heading up to Napa and a winery that looks to be super cutie! Swanson Vineyards, in addition to having fabu wines, has a rather cool sounding shop that they call a "candy store for adults." As envisioned by Andy Spade, how can't we go Cuties??? xxxo

A project I've been working with a client involves clothespins... just plain ones that we then silkscreen messages onto. I've been pondering if there are any cutie-worthy ones out there and voila! Kutusita Nyanko is a kawaii character that is super popular in Japan. One of my fave bday presents was a wee version of his best friend Boots. The story goes that Boots spends his time adventuring with his friends or helping around the house. Who wouldn't want a kitty like him?! Oh, and mine is named P. Kitty... why? Cus he liked it! Last year for my birthday dinner, our family went to Musso & Frank, the great classic Hollywood grill. Mom loved it, and today I remember the woman who I wouldn't be celebrating this day without... a true Cutie indeed!!! xxxo

One of our fave things at the California State Fair this weekend were the baby piggies... they are little squeals of adorableness! I wanted one until I found out they gain a pound a day when weeee-weeee ones. After 5 days bigger then Amelie? Perhaps I can have one for a week instead then trade in for a new model? Who is this Cutie? Why it's Meare Kat, a stuffed animal who is making the media rounds in England after he was left behind in a Suffolk tearoom! Last Sunday, the tearoom's owner Liz Everett discovered Meare Kat sitting by himself in her shop, so Liz decided to start a Facebook page to find his rightful owner. This is BeeBear, a happy friend of Hello There Cutie. BeeBear was created by Violet (on the right), who is five and a half years old and on her way to becoming a famous artist. I'm at the California State Fair today, and it is a cutie-palooza. Between the signs (so retro and kitschy) to the adorable farm animals and homemade goods, I love this event. Except for the deep fried Twinkies.... not Cutie!!! xxxo

Super Tokio has an amazing candy selection... with the majority in cute packaging. This little guy grabbed my attention as I'm not a fan of chocolate/orange as a flavor combo and his face looks like mine when the combo is encountered. Cranky! Adore that he's on the packaging telling it like it is!!! xxxo

Kewpie Kutie

I wandered in Super Tokio on Clement Street recently to buy some fun food products and look what was there: Cutie mayo!!! Kewpie mayonnaise is so adorable I pondered buying it just to have it in my fridge til I read the expiration date: consume within one month of opening. I don't know if I can eat that much mayo Cuties... darn! xxxo

Summertime Cute

I love Harry Potter (have been his evil sister Sherri Potter for Halloween) so imagine my glee when I found a website that makes Harry Potter outfits for horses! Better Late Then Not Cutie...

Bape hosted Bapesta!!Pro-Wrestling tournament in Tokyo this May, featuring some of Japans top pro wrestlers. The artist Yudetamago created a new wrestling costume and character (Apegon) just for this event. Above is the poster featuring this new character and two faves of mine: Baby Milo and the wrestling superhero Kinnikuman (I don't know the fourth). Who knew Cuties could be in wrestling too? xxxo

Going for a neighborhood walk, I spied this cutie on the side of a DiGrande Brothers Landscaping truck or. I don't know if the brothers are good or bad at their job but, with this as their mascot, I'd give the DeGrande's a try based upon cuteness alone! xxxo

A few years ago I climbed Mt Whitney and my fondest memory wasn't of the grueling trail and nursing boys with altitude sickness but of the marmots! I'd never seen one before and what friendly cuties they are. This guy gave me a smile, and hope he does for you too. Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Our Last Cambridge Cute

For my friends that tease me about living in a land of unicorns and rainbows, I give them the rockin 70s inspired version of my brain. While in back east, I went into a cool store in Cambridge. One friend bought sunglasses, others tried on silly outfits... I did research for you, my Cuties! Getting back into SF on Monday, I was greeted by fog... after 6 days of warmth 'n' sunshine, it's a tough adjustment! Luckily SF company Loyal Army has this adorable t-shirt to help me remember that, altho chilly, fog can be cute!!! xxxo

One of the first questions asked of me upon my return to SF was: Didja go to Dunkin Donuts? Not for a donut but for the coffee. Having been to the NE before, I avoided DD for most of this trip and did the local brews instead... that is until the cutie logo beckoned me.
