SF Parrot Cuties

Way back in 2010, we wrote of a movie about the parrots of Telegraph Hill here in SF. These flying friends are rumored to of been escaped pets from the big earthquake and have continued to prosper thru the years. The photo above was posted this morning on Facebook by Lisa, who lives on Nob Hill (one hill over in SF) and is now able to hand feed these adorable flying friends... awww, talk about Hello There Cuties!!!   xxxo

Sonoma Cutie

Sorry for the absence cuties... been in work and not adorable-land. But look who brought me back: Mugly! Driving back to SF from Sonoma yesterday, the traffic was awful and I wondered why. Well, in addition to a big Nascar thingie it was the World's Ugliest Dog contest at the Sonoma-Marin County Fair. Mugly, the winner, is a Chinese Crested dog from the UK and I gotta confess: he's so ugly he's kinda Hello There Cutie to me!   xxxo

Happy Sunny Cutie Friday!

The sun is shining (mildest Winter/Spring ever in SF!) and a bird just sang a sweet song outside my window... it's a beautiful weekend already! Happy Friday my dear Cuties and I hope it's full of all the simple joys surrounding my apt. tenfold!!!   xxxo

Monday Monkey Cuties

monkey saturation point

You know how much we love monkeys on Hello There Cutie... check out this photo taken here in SF! Local photog Bhautik Joshi took this down in the Dogpatch area and props to the artist who captured the monkeys spirit so perfectly in an anime way. Have a happy Monday and Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

A Cutemaskah Fieldtrip!

The Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park recently unveiled an all new garden railway display celebrating Playland at the Beach. Playland began as a collection of amusement rides and concessions in the late 19th century and sadly closed in 1972. The Conservatory's tiny tribute to Playland includes Sutro Baths, a replica of the Victorian-era Cliff House and a whole lotta cute. I think this is a Cutemaskah fieldtrip for sure and Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Baaaa Cuties

A friend of Hello There Cutie, Damien, is in New Zealand right now. Seeing these wee lambs (sent in by reader Jesse of SF!) reminded us of this fun NZ fact: the population ratio there is 1 human to every 10 sheep (really!). Now if those sheep are all this adorable, we're getting on a plane to say Hello There Cutie to each and every one of them!!! xxxo

Rickshaw Cutie

Here in San Francisco, alot of people ride bikes instead of driving cars to destinations. Being born and bred in LA, I'm not a huge fan of peddling instead of sitting in my vehicle, listening to music while in a warm, dry environment. Now perhaps if I had this super cute rickshaw bike from Anthropologie (and someone to peddle me, of course!) I might be more likely to be out of my VW. That is, on a hot, sunny day of course! Hello There Cuties xxxo

Party Cuties

Am going to a party tonight at a fancy home dec store in SF and decided to check out their website. Now I don't have a dog (obviously Amelie wouldn't allow it!) but check out these cuties in their special bed. Awwww... it's enough for me to reconsider! Hello There Cuties (times 3) xxxo

I. Magnin Cutie

I just discovered the work of classic SF photographer Fred Lyon. Back in the 50's and 60's, he captured slices of SF (and Parisian) life as it was back then, with an eye for the beauty of the everyday. This scene caught my fashionista eye as it is in front of the old I. Magnin store (now Louis Vuitton) in Union Square, where a flower stand still stands today. This woman, so chic in a Grace Kelly way, seems to be wishing for a gardenia to grace her jacket... I hope she gets one! Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Nibble Nibble Cutie!

With the holidays just around the corner, it's time to begin stretching our limits for all those yummy once a year treats. This little guy looks to have his mouth ever so slightly full... perhaps he too is readying for the season? Perhaps bringing some kernels home for the kids? Or is that corn just so good he can't stop? Well, either way, Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

thanks to reader Joseph from SF for the adorable photo!

Hump Day Cuties

It's Hump Day (as we used to giggle about in junior high) and here's another adorable image sent to us by Joseph in SF. Today we have a scene that is near and dear to my heart: a cat napping atop a dogs back. Why near and dear? Because it reminds me of Pussyfoot and Marc Antony (who we have talked about here) and I'm squealing inside that this is real. Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

Napping Cutie

Reader Joseph of SF sent us another perf image of cute: this time, a napping kitten! Now I must admit, I'm not a cat person but wow can I relate to this little one. Doesn't a nap sound good right about now? I won't tell if you don't... Hello There Cutie and zzzz xxxo

Kissin Cuties

Reader Joseph from SF strikes again with an image that is guaranteed to make you go "awww." These two unlikely kissin cuties who were found in nature don't know they are meant to be enemies. So they are doing the opposite and what feel right: being friends. Isn't this a nice lesson to take away for the weekend? Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

thx for the great pic Joseph!

French Fry Cuties

Tonite is another bday month dinner and this one is at a spot that is renowned for its roast chicken with french fries (can you guess what SF institution it is cuties?). I'm really looking forward to those string cut fries. And pondering getting this adorable french fry coin purse so I can have fries everyday and without the guilt! Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Panda Cutie

Another graffiti-esque posting today (don't worry, HTC isn't turning subversive!). This sign was seen in SF posted near a construction site and brought up the question: What would panda do? Does this refer to SF Giant Pablo Sandoval or the construction behind this or is an age old wisdom now coming to light? Whatever it is, we say Hello There Cutie! xxxo

Graffiti Cutie

We here at Hello There Cutie don't like, or approve of, graffiti. But when it's art, kinda hard to not to give a big thumbs up... this cat can be found on a sidewalk in the Mission district here in SF, and isn't it totally cute? Between the calico colors and ready to pounce posture, we just gotta give a big Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Another Umbrella Cuties

Awhile ago I wrote of the movie Kamikaze Girls and the sweet Lolita movement in Japan. The most popular store for these fashions is Baby The Stars Shine Bright, and the other weekend I wandered into the SF branch of it. Trouble!!! Above is my new umbrella (I needed a short one as I only have a tall umbrella) and I really wish it would rain. The lace is lasercut with hearts and is the most Hello There Cutie possible... watch out for me on the streets of SF cuties. xxxo

Brrrrr Cutie

It's rather chilly here in SF, and I've been pondering the idea of a hot water bottle. Although I don't quite fathom how they work, I do understand this: there are some pretty adorable ones out there! This one from Japan makes me ponder getting a bottle (it's so darn Hello There Cutie!)... what do you think cuties? xxxo

Bernal Cutemaskah Cuties

Down the hill from where I used to live in Bernal (an area of SF), these Cuties would come out to say hello each holiday season. They live in the window of a hardware store, and would always make me ponder "Which of the three is the REAL Santa Claus?" (I always suspected cowboy Claus) Even without an answer, they get a big Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Brrrrr Bunny Cutie

I'm not sure about you, but here in SF winter is approaching... so time to find some Cutie-worthy sweaters! This one, by the designer Peter Jensen, can be found at Urban Outfitters and is def on my radar. And I think Emme the bunny might appreciate it too! What do you think Cuties? xxxo
