Dinosaur Cutie

When you think of dinosaurs, "cute" might not be the first word that comes to mind. That is, until you see the illustrations of artist Emily Willoughby. Her depiction of a baby megalosauroid dino perched on a rock by the Bavarian Sea in Germany was recently dubbed "the cutest dinosaur illustration ever" by io9. Willoughby, who lives in Belle Mead, N.J., said that before making her illustrations she studies everything she can on dinosaurs and their behaviors (and obviously their cute potential). 52Aces Week Cutie: Day 5

I gotta confess I'm a bit sad that 52Aces Week is ending today on Hello There Cutie, so chose this broken hearted illustration. Done by Andreas Trenker out of Italy, his work is influenced by a passion for street art, politics and experimental techniques. Andreas usually illustrates topics with a social background and cultural progress.... and based upon this guy, darn adorable! Rainy Cutie

Here in SF we're having a very dry winter which I adore but am told isn't good for the water supply. Well, rumour is that rain is on the way next week and I feel like this little guy in illustrator Matte Stephens picture: a bit gloomed out by the prospect. This great image (print can be purchased here) makes me feel kinda happy about the upcoming rain. And Hello There Cutie to this gloomy guy and the upcoming moisture. xxxo
