Romper Room was a syndicated and locally-produced TV show which ran from 1953 to 1994 in the US as well in some other territories.
The program was targeted at children five years of age and younger.
The show was popular because it taught simple lessons through games and songs.A favorite recurring character was Mr. Do-Bee, an cute bumblebee who was employed to teach the children how to be well-behaved.Mr. Do-Bee always started his lessons with the phrase "Do Bee," for example, "Do Bee polite!".Mr. Do-Bee could be seen many Romper Room products.Mr. Do-Bee was know in the US, as well as internationally.Other Romper Room and Do-Bee merchandise includes balloons, records and various cute toys.
nice to know that japanese kids had their own Mr. Doo Bee too. :)

ReplyDeleteHer name is actually "Miss Midori". Not sure how big Romper Room was over there, but I often notice it getting referenced in some popular anime/manga shows like the works of Akira Toriyama.
