Summertime Cuties
With 4th of July just around the corner, it's time to figure out what to wear to a bbq. Although this pattern from the late 1960s isn't my size, I think these outfits would def make a splash at any bbq or pool party. What do you think Cuties? xxxo

Smurfette Fashion Cutie
In the new issue of Harper's Bazaar is a photoshoot starring a supermodel that blows the others out of the water : Smurfette! In this pic from the spread, The Smurfs' very own blonde bombshell works a disco-inspired look by Dolce & Gabbana; in others she wears Lanvin and Marc Jacobs. Work it girl... and Hello There Cutie! xxxo

Talk Back Cutie
Introduced in 1962 as the "Talk Back Phone," this pull-along toy has been brought back by Fisher-Price! The "Chatter Telephone" (new name... I prefer the old one!) has eyes that roll up and down, a mouth that chatters and a dial that rings. And of course, it's really cute. Do you remember yours? Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Chimpanzee Cutie
My friend Jen is in Tanzania (how jealous are we cuties?) and visited Jane Goodall's chimpanzees. This is a photo she just posted online, and how adorable is this little lady? Going from tree to tree with a snack in her mouth, I think we should def say Hello There Cutie to her! xxxo

Snoopy Cutie
When I was little, my oldest brother used to send me Snoopy cards (and one time a beloved stuffed animal) for special occasions. When pondering today being Friday, I thought of the "Snoopy happy dance" then of my big brother Howard and had a big smile as a result. A nice way to end the week, isn't it? Hope you all have a very Hello There Cutie weekend!!! xxxo

Cutie Things We Love...
Under the descrip of Cutie Things We Love would have to be tea towels and fun typography. These towels (found on Etsy) accomplished both and have brought me some visual joy... how about you cuties? xxxo

Yarn Bombing is Cutie
About a year ago, I noticed in Berkeley public spaces and objects being covered in brightly knitted yarn sweater. This art movement, Yarn Bombing, is now being touted as the hip form of urban vandalism worldwide. Referred to also as Grandma Graffiti, it is the guerilla crocheting of buildings, bike racks, stairs, statues, trees, lampposts and...? Super Cutie, right? xxxo

Niece and Nephew Cuties
One of my brothers kids are pugs named Napoleon and Josephine. These two cuties are now old and grey, with N. being 14 years old and J. 13... I always found greying dogs not as attractive as original colors (Miss Clairol anyone?) until these two began showing their age. Now every time I see them they get a big Hello There Cutie greeting for showing me that grey is beautiful. And darn cute. xxxo

Bunny Without Ears Cutie
This earless bunny born near Japan's quake-ravaged Fukushima power plant is the subject of much controversy. He might be evidence of radioactive contamination (scary) or perhaps this is just a random birth defect (scientists are leaning strongly toward the latter) All I know is a pure non-scientific fact: this bunny without ears is adorable!!! Hello There Cutie. xxxo

Hot Diggity Dog Cutie
This funny-faced wooden dog on wheels looks like he could be this girls new best friend. Made in France, Toby's long body will go wherever he's pulled on his adorable leash, with a jingling sleigh-bell announcing his presence. Toby's collar spells out his name in big yellow letters just in case he ever runs away from home... which he best not! Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Cutie Car
I think this might be our first car posting but heck, I couldn’t help falling in love with this sweet 1959 Goggomobil. These German microcars were produced from 1957-69 and are a wee ten feet long with a top speed of 52 mph -but- get between 50-55 miles to the gallon! Try to top that Smart cars! I found this video on YouTube by the new owner of one, and we want to give him a Hello There Cutie lets go for a ride shout out! xxxo

Happy Place Cutie
Sometimes of the year it sucks being an orphan... this being one of them. Mother's Day is everywhere you look then once it's behind you it's Father's Day too. When all of this starts to get me down, I find solace in art that speaks to my heart on that day. This card from Etsy isn't my style in design (I would of preferred the airplane more simple), but I like the message and whimsical spirit in it. So a big Hello There Cutie to all on finding a happy place within. xxxo

Herman Miller Cuties
Herman Miller has opened its first store in 4-ever (there was one in NYC 1960-1967). The new store, being in Tokyo, needed to have some store-only limited edition items... This is my fave: a set of eight kid’s blocks dressed in House Industries numbers, shapes & patterns with the sides based on the original Herman Miller delivery boxes. But wait! They then packaged the “box” in a miniature corrugated shipping carton that includes tiny brown kraft packing tape. Add in that it's all made in the Herman Miller homeland of Michigan, this gets a big Hello There Cutie for design and staying true to design roots. xxxo

Bunny Jewery Cutie
I'm not a big jewelry type of gal, but this bracelet from Hillier sure caught my eye! Kate Hillier was an accessory and handbag designer for some pretty big houses (Marc Jacobs, Ferragamo & Stella McCartney to name a few) before launching her own line. And she loves bunnies! If you visit this website, in addition to a bunny jewelry collection, you'll find super fun rabbit movies too... both Amelie and I give her a big Hello There Cutie (and please send us this bracelet) greeting. xxxo

Cutie Cupcake Art
Ed Bing Lee is a San Francisco artist that made these adorable knitted cupcakes. I had no idea who he was but figured he must be a cool young hipster to come up with these whimsical pieces; turns out Ed's 78 years old! Talk about both an inspiration and great role model to all artists... And a big Hello There Cutie keep on making such wonderful pieces of art to Ed!!! xxxo
please visit this website to both see a video about the artist and more of his work
