Blamo Cutie

As you all know, we love Kid Robot's products... but now there's a new fave! Blamo makes adorable toys and this guy caught my eye as the juxtaposition between subject matter and materials is brilliant! Done as a part of their guest artist toy line, this "Wooden Robot prototype" is by fabulous SF artist Leighton Kelly. 5" high and carved out of all natural Suar wood, we gotta give a big Hello There Cutie to this guy. xxxo

Snub Nosed Cuties

I was reading National Geographic yesterday and came across an article about golden snub-nosed monkeys. These monkeys live primarily in China, and were recently discovered in Mynamar, where they spend the majority of their life in the trees. I could go on and on but one fact that National Geographic didn't mention needs to be addressed: they are adorable! Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

Clown Cuties

I know Doug is afraid of clowns but...
Growing up in the Valley, summertime meant hot weather and ice cream. For an extra special treat, we'd sometimes (rare occasion) go to Baskin Robbins for a scoop. Whenever I went in, I'd gravitate towards these cuties as their smiles always welcomed me to ice cream-land. That said, I've never actually had one so am pondering taking that leap in my b-day month (August 8th is the day in case you want to ship presents). And Hello There Cuties!!! xxxo

Cutie Painting

Lucian Freud, OM, who died last week at 88, was the most celebrated British figurative painter of the late 20th century. Freud was thought of primarily as a painter of portraits, but though his subjects were often well-known people, he was no society portraitist like Sargent. His purpose was not to flatter, and the starkness of his images have few precedents in the art of the human form. As he was and is a favorite artist of mine, above we show one of his cutest (and unlikely) images, a bunny sleeping on a chair, above. xxxo

you may see some of the artists work here

Tangled Cutie

I was watching Tangled with my niece the other evening and must say my fave character wasn't one you would expect! No, it wasn't the Princess but instead was Rapunzel Maximus (aka the horse). I really liked this character as it was a horse but personified a dog... a dorse of sorts! Well, whatever it officially is, I say Hello There Cutie! xxxo

Panda Cutie

Another graffiti-esque posting today (don't worry, HTC isn't turning subversive!). This sign was seen in SF posted near a construction site and brought up the question: What would panda do? Does this refer to SF Giant Pablo Sandoval or the construction behind this or is an age old wisdom now coming to light? Whatever it is, we say Hello There Cutie! xxxo

Veuve Clicquot Cutie

As we all know, food trucks are all the rage, and here's one that would make me stop faster then a Kung Fu duck taco (love those!). Veuve Clicquot's new gourmet food cart (aka a fabulously refurbed Airstream) features street food and (of course) champagne. But now for the sad part: it's only in Berlin. Please say Hello There Cutie for me German readers... and cheers! xxxo

Not Another Bill Cuties

I recently heard about a service out of the UK that I adore. Called "Not Another Bill," this is the brainchild of Ned Corbett-Winder, who is allowing us to get a surprises (not bills) in the mail! For £20 a month in the US, Ned will send you a fabulous present that is both creative and cute from a (v. small) vendor of his choosing. From what I can see on the website, it's all super creative and fabulous... a perfect present for any guy or gal! (hint: my b-day is 08/08) Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Koala Kutie

Happy Monday Cuties! This is Asha, a koala who was hit not once, but twice, by cars while trying to cross a street. It’s a miracle that Asha survived, but here he is at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital wearing a sweater to keep warm. Koalas alone are cute but add in a sweater... well Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Hello Tink Cutie

My high school friend Tink is going to have a scary procedure today, so I wanted to post something to make her smile. We both grew up with Vans (everyone in the Valley wore them!) and a love of Hello Kitty. So what better then to post this melding of both our past and the present (you can buy them here) with warmest wishes for her future!!! xxxo

Up! Cutie

A real-life version of the house made famous in the movie Up! is on the market in Herriman, Utah. The house mimics the movie version 1000%, from the weathervane, paint colors and siding outside to the interior details and furniture. The builder actually got permission from Disney before embarking on the project, but I do have one question: Is the crotchety old man included? (I hope not) Hello There Cutie house!!! xxxo

Nice 'n Cutie

Sometimes packaging updates are a good thing... when I look at this package of Nice 'n Soft, I wish they still had this on the aisle. And the little sweet girl who was their claymation spokesmodel was so adorable; who didn't love how she spoke in a Marilyn Monroe meets Betty Boop voice? To Nice 'n Soft and the sweet girl a big Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

brought to us by our v. Cutie friend Doug!

Free Slurpees Cuties!!!

Happy 7/11 Cuties! In celebration, 7-11 stores is giving away free Slurpees to all (I've always been partial to the Coca-Cola one myself). When I was little, I recall Slurpee super hero cups one summer and oh boy, did I try to collect them all. And was I ever bummed when I found out my Mom had thrown the whole collection away. Oh well, perhaps the Slurpee I get today will brain freeze that part of my memory away. xxxo

Care Bear Cuties

I just read that an update (as computer-generated images) is in the works for the classic Care Bears. Now why update something that is perfection as it is? On a day like today (construction going on in the next room with multiple contractors, yelling and lotsa banging) I like to mentally visit to the world of Care Bears so I stay a smiling (not grumpy) one! Which are you Cuties? xxxo

Graffiti Cutie

We here at Hello There Cutie don't like, or approve of, graffiti. But when it's art, kinda hard to not to give a big thumbs up... this cat can be found on a sidewalk in the Mission district here in SF, and isn't it totally cute? Between the calico colors and ready to pounce posture, we just gotta give a big Hello There Cutie!!! xxxo

Pantone Cuties

In design, the color standard used for print is the Pantone system. The company has been rolling out various products with the most popular colors, but this is the first to attract my eye. These candles are only available in Europe right now, but I'm looking forward to having a Pantone candle or three in my home once I can!!! Hello There Cuties! xxxo

What Is Your Future Cutie?

Long before the Magic 8 Ball was the Pocket Fortune Teller by Alabe Crafts of Cincinnati. You asked a simple "yes" or "no" question and the answer would appear after shaking the container and tipping it over (answers float to the top). I've got a few things I'd like answered... how about you? xxxo

Scrub-A-Dub Cutie

So the other day I was wandering down the housewares aisle and this adorable bumblebee scrubber caught my eye. In reading what he's for, I realised that we were going home together! This little guy is a most fabulous addition to my kitchen as he totally scrubs glasses clean without scratching... totally recommended cuties!!! xxxo
